Text Triggers in mIRC

Here are the instructions to add a trigger that will enable an automatic action in mIRC whenever someone in chat types the word you have chosen. If you do add a text trigger, be careful what you choose as a trigger word. If it is a commonly used word, it will trigger your action repeatedly and could disrupt the chatroom.
In mIRC, go to Tools and Remote
When you select the Remote Tab you should have a window where you can enter your command. Type the following:
on 1:TEXT:*word*:#:/describe $chan action
where "word" is what you want to respond to and "action" is what you want to do
Example -- on 1:TEXT:*poll*:#:/describe $chan does a handstand
will look like this in the chatroom:
<ASH_Trivia_Bot> hello poll
* pollux does a handstand
Please note that this will not work if you already have a sound triggered to play when that "word" is typed. It will default to playing the sound only.
Enjoy!!
